How to Prepare for a Catholic Baptism

  1. Date

Most parents have their children baptized after a month while some choose 3 months when important immunizations are done. Some also choose when the child is a bit older but for most Filipino Catholics they have their child baptized not later than 1 year old. It really depends on the parent’s preference but please note that Catholic's baptism are conducted every Sunday usually after the 9:00-10:00am mass. You can arrange with the church to have a special baptism but it will be more expensive.

  1. Church
Most parents choose the church closest to their homes for accessibility. Once you’ve chosen a church inquire about the requirements. For St. Joseph the worker at sasa they required the ff:
    1. Photocopy of marriage certificate
    2. Photocopy of birth certificate
    3. GKK Information Data sheet
