Off to Hogwarts on Sunday

I am feeling giddy and really looking forward to Trick or Treat this Sunday! Halloween almost feels like Christmas with the festive atmosphere and the abundance of sweet treats. Ever since we joined last year's Trick or Treat at Abreeza, we got addicted. I spent months trying to come up with the perfect costume for my little boy. I was thinking of dressing him up as Little Chef, Stewie Griffin (Family Guy) and Dexter (Dexter's Laboratory). But I finally decided to dress him up as....wait for it....Harry Potter! I am such a big fan of the books and the movies so it's a natural choice. I learned that Abreeza will be having a Hollywood theme Halloween event which they call Hollyween so I guess this costume will fit right in. I got so excited when I decided on his costume that I immediately began to source out his props.
My friend Julienne made this beautiful crochet scarf

I bought dark rimmed glasses which my son broke in just seconds.

I attempted to sew the Harry Potter robe but my husband FIRMLY INSISTED that I should leave it to the experts so we asked a tailor from our neighborhood to sew it. For the wand we will just pick up twigs from the garden. We are all set! Watch out Halloween:)

Reminiscing last year's Trick or Treat. It was my son's first experience and we dressed him up as a prisoner. My husband and I ate all the candies that he got *insert wicked laugh* but now that he's grown up we now have a competition.
